4. Event Title: World Down Syndrome Day, also known as Colorful Sock Day.

Aim of the meeting:
The school also joined the celebration of World Autism Awareness Day, in solidarity with people afflicted by the spectrum. The color of autism is blue – that’s why, by supporting the action BLESS YOURSELF IN BLUE. The teachers discussed with the children about equal access to education for all children. It was pointed out that education can take various forms depending on the needs of students. Everyone has the right to use knowledge to the best of their ability.
Szkoła przyłączyła się również do obchodów Światowego Dnia Świadomości Autyzmu, solidaryzując się w ten sposób z osobami dotkniętymi spektrum. Kolorem autyzmu jest kolor niebieski – dlatego, wspierając akcję ZAŚWIEĆ SIĘ NA NIEBIESKO. Nauczyciele dyskutowali wspólnie z dziećmi na temat równego dostępu wszystkcih dzieci do nauki. Zwrócono uwagę na fakt, że edukacja może przyjmować różne formy w zależności od potrzeb uczniów. Każdy ma prawo korzystać z wiedzy na miarę swoich możliwości.

They show their own traditions to Portuguese and Hungarian children.
- Escola Básica António Fogaça
Under the Erasmus+ Project, during Christmas time, teachers and students performed several activities.
Using a picture as a starting point, each class of the first grade, wrote a collective text (story telling) and the final result was a patchwork story (Patchwork story is made by sewing different pieces of cloth together). We also challenged all the school classes to put on the portuguese symbol (Barcelos’ rooster) Christmas clothes.
The patchwork mantle (powerpoint) and the story documents are attached ( in English and Portuguese) and we send you also the records of the “Christmas Roosters” such as the Christmas trees alluding to the countries envolved in this project.
